Déception hier soir

L'offre menu du jour était, contrairement à mes expériences précédentes, sans attrait particulier et sans finesse dans la réalisation. Le personnel de service a fait tout son possible pour être agréable, mais était probablemnt conscient de la faiblesse de l'offre.

Excellent

The restaurant at the 8th floor of the Sofitel Hotel has a splendid view over the Petrus valley and the city of Luxemburg. Food was excellent with a modern and fresh touch, portions were ok also. Wine selection is very large in every price category. Service is adequat and friendly. There are 2 downpoints for me. The music from the bar next to the restaurant is rather disturbant and i'm sur older people will not appreciated this. The second problem i had was that het lights were so dimmed that i could hardly recognise the colour of the foord on my plate, it's not that i want a spotligth on my table but when it's to dark it ain't fun also ... for the rest it was a good expeperience !

Bien pour la formule Menu du Marché (Prix et qualité des plats). Le personnel devrait être plus Zen en restant déférent.

all plates should be 5 to 10 euro less expensive; no salad with entrecote included (only meat and fries); wines far too overpriced. Nice view over the city

Nice view

My wife and I stayed in the hotel for a short break and ate here. Food and wine were superb, service was good, and we had a lovely window table with views over the valley and city.
